Trip Overview
A private, tailor-made route through Kenya’s richest ground for the Big Five – open plains in the Mara, dry-river elephants in Samburu, and Kilimanjaro at your back in Amboseli.
The Route

Maasai Mara
Fly or drive in from Nairobi. After lunch at the lodge, head straight out for an afternoon game drive across the open plains - this is prime Big Five ground, and your guide will already know where the resident pride has been resting.

Maasai Mara
A full day out, with a picnic breakfast in the bush and lunch back at the lodge. Between July and October this is migration ground - river crossings, big cats, and some of the densest wildlife concentrations in East Africa.

Samburu National Reserve
Transfer to Samburu, a drier, wilder landscape built around the Ewaso Nyiro river. Afternoon game drive for species you won't see further south - Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk - alongside the Big Five.

Amboseli National Park
Final transfer to Amboseli, famous for its elephant herds and views of Kilimanjaro across the border. Morning game drive before your flight out - the mountain usually clears for an hour or two after sunrise.
