Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we are asked most often before a safari is confirmed.

How far in advance should I book?

We can often arrange a safari at a few weeks' notice, though two to three months ahead secures the best selection of camps and lodges, particularly in peak season (July to October and December to February).

Is the vehicle genuinely private?

Yes. Every itinerary we design includes a private 4x4 and driver-guide for your party alone. You will not be joined with other travellers or held to a fixed group schedule.

Can an itinerary be changed once it is drafted?

Certainly. Designing around you rather than selling a set package is the reason we work this way. Tell us what you would like adjusted and we will revise the plan before anything is confirmed.

What is included in the price?

Ordinarily: the private vehicle and driver-guide, park entrance fees, accommodation, and the meals specified in each itinerary. International flights, visas, gratuities and personal expenses are usually excluded. We confirm precisely what is covered when we issue your quotation.

Which countries do you cover?

Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, both individually and combined within a single journey.

What is the best time of year to travel?

It depends on what you hope to see. The migration river crossings fall between July and October; the calving season in the southern Serengeti runs through January and February; and the green season, from March to May, offers fewer visitors, lower rates and excellent birdlife. We will advise honestly on the best window for your priorities.

Are your safaris suitable for families?

Yes. We regularly arrange family journeys with shorter game drives, flexible mealtimes and lodges that genuinely welcome children. Please tell us the ages of any children travelling and we will plan accordingly.

How do I obtain a quotation?

Contact us on WhatsApp or by telephone, or send your dates and interests via the contact page. We normally reply within a few hours.
