A camping safari covering three of northern Tanzania’s headline parks in four days, for travellers who would rather put their budget into time in the parks than into lodges. Nights are spent under canvas at authorised campsites inside or adjoining each park, with all equipment, a cook and full catering provided.
The Route
Tarangire
Depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, with an afternoon game drive along the river valley where elephant gather beneath the baobabs. Camp is made inside the park.
Serengeti
Continue west across the Ngorongoro highlands and down onto the Serengeti plains, with game viewing as you enter the park. Camp for the night on the central plains.
Ngorongoro
A final Serengeti game drive before travelling on to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, camping on the crater rim for the night.
Ngorongoro
Descend onto the crater floor at first light for a morning of game viewing among its rhino and lion, before climbing out and returning to Arusha in the afternoon.
