Trip Overview
A short introduction to Tanzania’s two headline wildlife areas, built for travellers with only a few days to spare. Two nights allow a full day on the Serengeti plains and a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, which together cover the greatest concentration and variety of game in the country.
The Route

Serengeti
Depart Arusha early and travel west across the Ngorongoro highlands, descending onto the Serengeti plains in the afternoon with game viewing as you enter the park. The first evening drive introduces the central grasslands and their resident predators.

Serengeti
The whole day is given to the Serengeti, working the Seronera valley where permanent water supports lion, leopard and cheetah year round. Where the migration is within reach, the day is shaped around finding the herds.

Ngorongoro
Leave the Serengeti after an early drive and continue to the Ngorongoro Crater for a descent onto the crater floor. The enclosed grassland holds black rhino, large lion prides and dense plains game, before the drive back to Arusha in the evening.
