Uganda's smallest savannah park, and the only one holding impala and zebra.
Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah parks and the most accessible from Kampala, which makes it a natural first or last stop on a longer circuit. Acacia woodland and open valleys surround a chain of lakes.
It is the only Ugandan park holding impala, and one of very few with zebra and eland. Because there are no elephant and few large predators, walking safaris and horseback rides are permitted here, along with boat trips on the lake for hippo, crocodile and shoebill. It offers a different pace from the gorilla and chimpanzee parks further west.
