A small, independent safari company built on a single principle: every journey should be designed for the people taking it.
Our Story
The Big Five Safaris was founded on the belief that a safari should not be a fixed package. Too many trips are sold on set dates, moving groups between the same lodges on the same schedule. We work the other way round. Every itinerary is designed from the beginning around your dates, your budget and the wildlife you most want to see, and travelled in a private vehicle with a guide who knows the parks in depth.
Our Approach
Your own 4x4 and guide for the entire journey, never shared with another party, following the route you chose.
We establish your dates and budget first, then select the parks and lodges that best suit them, rather than the reverse.
Our guides travel these routes throughout the year and know which camps, roads and seasons genuinely deliver the sightings you are hoping for.
